Gluten Free Manufacturing Quality Assurance Standards & Certifications

Local Oven is committed to food quality, the safety of our employees, and the health safety of our customers We have instituted manufacturing practices to meet the high-level requirements of independent certification agencies and inspectors. In order to assure these standards are met on a daily basis, we engage outside agencies to audit our manufacturing plant. These audits certify that our ingredients and processes adhere to the highest standards for the benefit of all we serve.

Our certifications include:

GFCO – is an industry program of the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG), who provide certification services to producers of gluten-free products using quality assessment and control measures throughout production, in order to provide assurance to consumers of the safety of their foods. The GF logo stands for verification of quality, integrity, and purity of products and the reliability for meeting strict gluten-free standards.

SQF Level 2 Certification – We have received this designation under the direction of the AIB (American Institute of Baking). The SQF Level 2 Certification is designed to meet the needs of suppliers, the food industry and consumers. The SQF Code offers a solution for primary producers, manufacturers, distributors, and brokers by creating one standard for food safety from farm to fork. The SQF Code requires regulatory and customer compliance and is equipped for an ever-evolving market. The SQF Code is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). The SQF Program proactively identifies and manages risk to avoid stock recoveries, market withdrawals and rework. The SQF Program is recognized by retailers and foodservice providers around the world who require HACCP and ISO based food safety and quality management systems from their suppliers. The certification is a two stage audit which allows for a pre-emptive look at issues that need to be addressed, and an on-sight practitioner to ensure food safety compliance and consistency.

Dk pareve – is recognized by OU which is the world’s largest and most widely recognized kosher certification agency, certifying close to 1,000,000 products produced in over 8,000 plants located in 92 countries around the world.

  FDA – We fully comply with all FDA regulations and guidelines pertaining to food and employee safety.
